Children are not small adults: bigger head proportionally, narrower airways, faster dehydration. Fever: febrile seizures in toddlers — lay on side, cool forehead, 112. Choking: lean forward, 5 back slaps, then 5 chest thrusts — DON’T finger-sweep blindly (pushes deeper). CPR: ~1/3 chest depth (~4 cm child, ~5 cm baby), same tempo 100–120. Asthma: sit, calm, give inhaler if available.
- ●Poisoning: poison center of your state or 112
- ●Headache after fall = watch: nausea, sleepiness → doctor
- ●“Acting strange” in a child — better to get checked
👶 German parent courses teach: “in doubt — doctor/ambulance”. You can’t over-scare parents, but calling too late is possible.
