Film as a career: the way forward

Film is dozens of careers: director, cinematographer, editor, sound engineer, screenwriter, producer, production designer, colorist. In Germany you learn it at film schools (HFF Munich, DFFB Berlin, Filmakademie Ludwigsburg) or via Ausbildung — Mediengestalter. But the entry ticket is always the same: your portfolio.

• ●Portfolio: 3–5 best works, 1–2 minutes each
• ●Write a screenplay weekly — even 5 lines count
• ●Analyze films: pause → "why this shot? why this light?"
• ●Shoot real things — documentary beats special effects
