✅ Lekce hotová
Not all fires are equal — and water does not fix all. Class A = solids (wood, paper, fabrics): water, foam, powder. B = liquids (petrol, oil, varnish): foam, powder, CO₂ — WATER SPREADS IT. C = gases (propane, methane): powder + close the valve! D = metals (magnesium, sodium): only class-D powder — water explodes. F = kitchen fats/oils (top home-fire cause!): lid, F-class extinguisher — water = steam column and fireball.
- ●Oil burning on the stove → lid + stove off → wait 10 min
- ●Class pictograms on the extinguisher — check before buying
- ●CO₂ extinguisher for electronics: no powder inside the device
🏷 Fat fires (F) cause a third of German home fires. A glass of water in hot oil = 100× steam explosion with fireball. Remember: “fat — lid only”.
