Politics is not just parliamentarian. Levels: volunteering (district, party, initiative — everyone’s start), aide in an MP’s office, ministry referent, town council → Landtag → Bundestag, NGO/association lobbyist, political consultant. Skills decide: rhetoric, networks, law, conflict management, press work. The path is real: many ministers started in youth wings and volunteering.
- ●Youth = start: Junge Union, Jusos, Green Youth — entry via young wings
- ●Skill #1 = public speaking: practice at Bezirksamt meetings
- ●Petitions work: 50k signatures = Bundestag must debate
🎤 The average Bundestag age is ~47 — but young people enter: 20-year-olds via youth organizations. Politics is a marathon: start volunteering today.
