The Deutschlandticket was the 2023 revolution: for ~€58 a month you ride ALL regional trains, buses, trams and the U-Bahn across Germany. It is a subscription, not a single ticket — bought in the DB app or your city’s transport app. Not valid on ICE/IC/EC (long-distance trains) or first class. Runs from the 1st of the month — cancel by the 10th.
- ●Families save: 2 adults at ~€58, kids under 15 often free
- ●Students pay ~€29 — the Semesterticket
- ●Employers can subsidise: the Jobticket is even cheaper
🎫 The D-Ticket replaced the jungle of ~100 transport zones. A Munich ticket used to be useless in Nuremberg — now one covers all.
