Relative clauses: der, die, das + B1 exam tips

Relative pronouns join sentences: "Das ist der Mann, der mir geholfen hat." The verb goes to the end; the pronoun takes gender from the noun and case from its role in the clause.

• ●Akk: der Mann, den ich kenne
• ●Dat: der Mann, dem ich helfe
• ●Fem: die Frau, die/der ich …
• ●Pl: die Kinder, die hier spielen

B1 exam: 4 parts — reading, listening, writing (80-word letter), speaking (3-min presentation + dialogue). In the letter use: greeting, intro, 2-3 points, closing — and at least one weil-clause!
