A fraction is a part of a whole. Split a pizza into 4 — one piece is 1/4, two pieces are 2/4 = a half (1/2).
💡 Numerator (top) — how many parts you take, denominator (bottom) — into how many you split.

- ●1/4 = a quarter = 0.25
- ●3/4 = three quarters = 0.75
