FlixBus is Germany’s “Ryanair on wheels”: Berlin–Munich from ~€20, Berlin–Prague from ~€15. The green buses cross Europe, Wi-Fi and sockets on board, but delays happen. FlixTrain is the same by rail (cheaper than DB). Blablacar and Mitfahrzentrale are carpools: ~€10–20 for fuel and you ride along — fast, cheap, human. Hitchhiking is legal but on the autobahn it is risky and rarely works.
- ●Book FlixBus early — the price rises like a flight
- ●Blablacar: check the driver’s rating and seatbelts for everyone
- ●The night bus is a free hotel: ride at night, arrive in the morning
🚌 Blablacar is officially legal — not a taxi but a shared ride: the driver may only take fuel money, profit is forbidden.
