Rhythm is the pulse of music: tap "tok-tok-tok" — that is rhythm. Notes are the letters of pitch: do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-ti (C-D-E-F-G-A-H in Germany!). Durations set length: whole = 4 beats, half = 2, quarter = 1. The bar packs beats: 4/4 most common, waltz 3/4.

- ●In Germany ti = H, B♭ = B — an important difference!
🎵 Tempo is measured in BPM — beats per minute: 60 = slow, 120 = dance, 180 = running.
