The German CV is a table, not an essay: max 2 pages, reverse chronological (newest first), sections: Persönliche Daten → Berufserfahrung → Ausbildung → Kenntnisse (languages, skills). A photo is not required since 2006 (AGG law), but big firms expect it. Job ads scan for keywords — tailor your CV to each posting: take the words from the ad.
- ●Do not write: children, religion, politics — private and none of the interviewer’s business
- ●Gaps need one word: "Elternzeit", "Weiterbildung" — do not lie
- ●Name the PDF: name_date_Lebenslauf.pdf — professional
📄 The average HR person looks 30 seconds — the top half decides. The first section must sell you in 10 lines.
