The CE mark: toys and kids’ items need CE plus DIN EN 71 (Toy Directive): safe materials, no small parts under 3, warning label. Adult jewellery/decor: general product safety (ProdSG), no lead/nickel on skin. Candles and food: label with contents and address. Liability: if a candle burns a house — product liability; Gewerbe insurance (~€50/yr) is essential. Without paperwork sell as “decoration”, never as a “toy”.
