Don’t memorize openings — understand principles: 1) CENTER — occupy e4/d4/e5/d5, pieces strike far from there. 2) DEVELOPMENT — get minor pieces (knights, bishops) out by move 10. 3) KING — castle in the first 10 moves. 4) NO pawn-chasing early — time is worth more. 5) Don’t bring the queen out early — she gets chased, you lose tempo. Classics: Spanish (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5), Sicilian (1.e4 c5).
- ●One piece = one move: moving a piece twice = falling behind
- ●Three pillars: center + development + king — the rest are details

♞ “A bad plan beats no plan” — the golden chess rule. Logical-with-principles beats “beautiful” without one — that’s how games are lost.
