The system knows the family. Parents must: feed, educate, not hit. They may: raise, choose school (limited), take help. Children have rights to education, protection, voice, from 14 religion choice. The Jugendamt is no enemy: it comes when school/neighbours report "concern". Equality means father and mother are equal — Vätermonate, Elterngeld for all. Parental support is the duty of adult children.
- ●Custody means deciding together — one parent may not "take" the child
- ●Elternzeit is both parents’ right, not "mum’s thing" — the law is equal
- ●Jugendamt in danger: help first, removal only as last resort
🏠 "Kindeswohl" is the word that settles disputes: the court asks "what is good for the child", not "who is right". Mum or dad — irrelevant, better for the child — that counts.
