Kita → Grundschule is the big step: at 6 into school. Preparation: language level (German must carry), independence (dressing, toilet), social skills. Enrolment follows the address (district school), exceptions by application. The Schulranzen is the sacred purchase ~€100–200: ergonomic, reflective. The Einschulung is a festival: the Schultüte (sweet cone) is a centuries-old tradition.
- ●Schuleingangsuntersuchung is the check-up: hearing, speech, motor skills
- ●The Schultüte is the gift cone for day one: tradition since 1810
- ●Sprachförderung is mandatory — weak German means the school must help
🏡 First-graders get a Schultüte with gifts — not just sweets but useful things: pencils, toys, hope. The old custom survived wars and crises.
