Germany is strict about photos of people: Recht am eigenen Bild (§22 KUG) — publishing requires consent. Exceptions: public figures, people as incidental "Beiwerk" in crowds/landscapes, assemblies. You can photograph almost anything outdoors, but Panoramafreiheit (§59 UrhG) covers buildings only from public places — outside only. Drones: EU drone licence (A1/A3) mandatory from 250 g, flying over people and private property forbidden. Courts, DB stations (Hausrecht!), museums may forbid it.
- ●Publishing strangers’ children is forbidden — even at a fair
- ●A model release — written consent for commercial use
- ●Google Street View blurs faces — not out of politeness but by law
⚖️ Up to €10,000 fine plus a warning letter for publishing photos without consent. For a blog use Unsplash/Pexels (free licences) or your own shots.
