University computer science is not a coding bootcamp: half the program is mathematics (linear algebra, discrete maths, probability), plus theory: algorithms, complexity, compilers, operating systems. Coding happens in labs and projects. The difference from self-taught: the degree opens doors to corporations and research, and the theory carries you to architecture roles, not just coding.

●First semester: Java/Python, linear algebra, calculus — up to 40% dropout
●Tracks: software engineering, data science, AI, IT security, robotics
●Werksstudent — 20 h/week in a company: the standard entry route
