The first-aid course: mandatory and available

📖 Lesson ──▶ 🎯 Quiz — pick the translation ──▶ ✅ Lesson done

In Germany the Erste Hilfe course is mandatory for the driver’s license (Bescheinigung). Format: ~9 units of 45 min in one day, ~€30–50, at DRK/ASB/Malteser/Johanniter/Rotkreuz. For work: one trained first-aider per 20 employees. Course benefits: real dummy practice, AED in hand, recovery position drills. Certificate valid indefinitely for driving, but refresh every 2 years is standard.

●For migrants: courses in German, but practice needs no words
●First-aider at work = career plus: DGUV certificate counts
●Parent course = separate format, insurer often chips in

🎓 40% of Germans did the course >10 years ago — and can’t do CPR anymore. A 3-hour refresher ~€25 — cheaper than a dinner, worth more than a life.
