What an engineer does: the profession overall

📖 Lesson ──▶ 🎯 Quiz — pick the translation ──▶ ✅ Lesson done

The engineer turns science into working things: calculation → drawing → prototype → series. Branches: mechanical, electrical, civil, process, informatics (code as engineering). Salary: entry ~€50–55k/year, experienced €70–90k, engineering office or industry. Paths: degree (Bachelor/Master) or Techniker (no university, via apprenticeship+advanced training).

●Engineer ≠ scientist: one asks “why”, the other “how to build”
●Most wanted profile: electrical engineering — vacancies everywhere
●“Engineer” is protected: title only with recognized education

⚙️ Engineers are 10% of Germany’s workforce and the core of its exports. “Made in Germany” is first engineering quality, not a brand.
