✅ Lesson done
CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is every engineer’s tool: draw in 3D, the program calculates mass, volume, assembly. Programs: AutoCAD (2D, industry), SolidWorks/Fusion360 (3D models), FreeCAD (free!), TinkerCAD (online for kids). Flow: sketch → extrude → part → assembly → automatic drawing. For 3D printer — STL file. German school: Technical Drawing + CAD mandatory in Technik-Zweig.
- ●Start with FreeCAD or TinkerCAD: free, teaches thinking
- ●Parametric modeling: change a dimension — everything recalculates
- ●3D printer file = STL, drawing file = DXF/PDF
💻 AutoCAD and Inventor are industry standard, ~€2000/year. Students get it free: .edu registration = pro tools at home.
