AED: the automatic defibrillator without fear

The AED is the green/white case with a lightning bolt at stations, shops, gyms. Inside a smart device: switch on — it guides you by VOICE step by step. Flow: switch on → bare the chest → stick two pads as pictured → don’t touch (analysis) → if told — press the flashing shock button → keep compressing. You can’t get it wrong: the AED decides itself if a shock is needed, it won’t deliver one otherwise.

• ●AEDs hang at stations, malls, schools — look for the white bolt on green
• ●The shock stops the arrhythmia — it “resets” fibrillation
• ●Dry a wet chest, hairy is fine. Time is everything: each minute −10%
