Germany is a country of engineers: Maschinenbau (mechanical), Elektrotechnik, Bauingenieurwesen (civil), Fahrzeugtechnik (automotive). The first 3–4 semesters are the Grundstudium: maths, physics, mechanics, informatics — the toughest phase. Then specialization and projects. FH graduates often go into production (BMW, Siemens, Bosch), university graduates into R&D.

- ●Bauingenieur: statics, concrete, roads and bridges
- ●Success factor: strong school maths — without it the first semester eats you
🏭 Mechanical engineers start at ~55,000 €/year — one of the highest bachelor entry salaries.
