The mandatory nutrition table shows per 100 g: kcal, fat, saturates, carbs, sugar, protein, salt. Trick: sugar hides as glucose syrup, maltose, dextrose. Additives (E-numbers) are EU-approved — but E621, E950–E955 stimulate appetite. Ingredients are descending: sugar second = a sweet product.
- ●Nutri-Score A–E: A (dark green) — the best pick in the category
- ●"No added sugar" ≠ sugar-free — check the ingredient list
- ●Under 5 g sugar/100 g = fine; over 15 g = a dessert
🏷 "Fitness" muesli often has more sugar than chocolate cereal — the Nutri-Score shows the truth.
