Five insurances are deducted from gross: health, care, pension, unemployment and accident insurance (employer pays the last!). Together ~20% of gross, half paid by the employer. Private insurance (PKV) only at high income; it has less protection when sick. Compulsory membership explains "gross ≠ net".
- ●KK contribution: ~14.6% + extra 1–3% — compare!
- ●One pension point ≈ the average annual gross — accumulates automatically
- ●After 1 year of contributions: ALG-I claim (60–67% of net)
🛡 The employer pays half of all contributions — and accident insurance fully. Working "under the table" means uninsured: in an accident you pay everything yourself.
