Commas like Russian — by structure, not pauses. Differences: before „що“, „який“, „котрий“ — always a comma. Adverbial participles — commas required („Читаючи книгу, я писав“). Direct speech — dash + guillemets „…“. Style: colloquial vs literary vs official (офіційно-діловий) — „відповідно до“, „прохання повідомити“.
